Do we fit?
That’s important. A good fit is as important as credentials. People require a level of comfort in order to build trust.
Let me share a bit about who I am, how I think, and what you can expect so you can determine if I am a good fit for you.

Values and Approach
I have traditional values, but I embrace unconventional approaches. I think outside the box and my background and life experience reflects that. My toolbox filled with innovative, versatile tools which create whole-brain experiences. That means that I don’t rely on just one method to help you reach your goals. You have options and you can decide on the kind of support or services you want.

My training allows me to work on 3 levels. The present, the future and (when needed) the past. If the past is preventing you from achieving your goals, I have the tools and experience to help you resolve past upsets and also overcome resistance. Your input and preferences determine the approach that we use and you are welcome to explore all options.

I’m now in my second career. In my first career I co-founded a fine jewelry manufacturing firm in the heart of New York City’s Jewelry district. My passion was design, but my responsibilities also included sales, cold calling, business development, training and collections. As a start-up company, I wore many hats. As an introspective person, selling felt like a monumental task. I discovered that sales is one of the most difficult jobs an introverted person can have because they have to push themselves outside of their comfort zone.

Extroverted people may be more comfortable speaking with people, but they often struggle with the details. Everyone who sells has to self-motivate and orchestrate the events of the day, every single day. Selling taught me much about my own inner self-talk, sales styles and the value of a customer. I worked in the jewelry industry for about 15 years. After several gunpoint robberies, and the trauma it created, it was time for me to move on. Hypnotherapy helped me to move beyond the fear and trauma. I was blessed to have had such a wonderful business partner and so many faithful customers and the ability to have grown in so many ways from that career.

Right now
After selling my business I returned to graduate school and studied psychology. I’ve earned 2 counseling licenses,  personal and relationship coaching credentials, alcohol and substance treatment credentialing, hypnotherapy and EMDR designations. My mind is curious and I love to learn.

The Amen Clinic
My affiliation with the Amen Clinic and their wonderful training has helped further educate me on the various functions of the brain and how this relates to the goals of my clients. Dr. Amen’s research shows that we can improve brain function as well as emotional and physical health, through the use of food, exercise, supplements and if necessary, with medication.

My Clients
Over the last 20 years I have been involved in many arenas. Business, Healthcare, Government and the Private Sector.  I have helped people better navigate medical problems, personal goals and habits as well as professional goals. I have also designed and implemented Wellness programs for smoking, weight, anger, stress, sleep and pain. In my private practice, I help high functioning people build better relationships at home and at work. I help sales professionals push past resistance and I help all people understand the value of communication and appreciate the value of different communication and personality styles.

I enjoy helping people reach goals, eliminate habits and master their lives. I also provide DUI (Drug and Alcohol) Evaluations and Level 1 ASAM treatment. I am Approved by the State of Georgia, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. My Alcohol Treatment Program incorporates traditional and non traditional concepts including neurobiology of the brain and everyday hypnosis.

I spent 8 years working in a hospital setting where I helped people in crisis. I worked with people experiencing suicidal thoughts or who attempted suicide. I’ve worked with people who are psychotic. I’ve worked with people with Bipolar Disorder, in the midst of a manic episode. I’ve worked with people suffering from severe alcohol or substance related problems. Because I have experience working with this level of severity,  I am comfortable and know how to work effectively with variety of people and a range of problems. I am grateful for that experience, and for all the physicians and health care professionals from whom I have learned so much.

Over the years I discovered that the conscious logical mind is needed for day to day decisions and life choices. But when a person is stuck, we need to activate the positive involvement of the creative (subconscious) mind.

I love what I do.  I educate organizations, improve leadership and managerial skills, improve health and well-being and build confidence. Above all, I help people shine.

Everyone needs a sacred space where they can feel free to let go of the worries of the day and know they are not alone. We all want to know that there is someone who won’t judge us, someone who will always try to understand. Whether there are skills you want to learn or habits you want to break or balance you are seeking, I am here for you and will do my best to make it a comfortable and uplifting process.

Thank you.
